WALL PAPER TYPES AND SPECIFICATIONS


VINYL WALL COATINGS (VINYL)
This is the type of wall paper that has is most widely used. Sun proof wall coatings can be cleaned with a damp cloth or even a brush. Some types can even be used in wet areas. Matte, glossy, embossed, expanded, registered and fabric display types are available.

PAPER BASED (SİMPLEX)
Less resistant and cheaper compared to others.

TEXTILE (FABRIC)
These types of wall papers with fabric on top layer are a different decoration product compared to vinyl wallpapers in terms of pattern and appearance. It also has an acoustic feature.

PAINTABLE WHITET
his wall paper covers cracks on problematic walls and ceilings and is colored with water based paints.

FABRIC BACKED VINYL
Even though base of other types of wall papers are paper, this type of paper is fabric. These types of wall papers produced for these intensively used volumes have long life and are easy to clean. It’s convenient for hotel, restaurant and shop decoration. As a primary investment, this is more expensive compared to other papers is economic for enterprises.

Check that wall papers you purchased have the same batch number. Otherwise there will be differences in color tone.


WALL PAPER APPLICATION ESSENTIALS

All features of the wall paper you purchased are stated in the label over the wall paper roll. These features must be taken into consideration. Before applying the wall paper, it will be better to complete the painting works and reparations.

PREPARING THE BASE

In areas to be coated with wall paper, restoration works on all possible wall and ceilings should have been completed, ceiling paint, plaster board, floor covering finish should have been completed and doors and windows should have been placed. Laminate or laminated parquet can be placed after the wall paper however cutting process for these must be carried outside. Initially solid wood parquets must be placed. All internal units of electrical plugs and switches must have been assembled. It is recommended that baseboards are completed after the wall paper is placed. Surface of the wall must be dry and clean.

If there is a former wall paper on the walls, these must be removed. Swelled old paint and pastes should be scraped off. There should be no humidity on the wall surface. Cracks, fractures and scraped off zones should be repaired with gypsum plaster or satin plaster and satin plaster should be applied to the whole surface and it should be finished with sand paper application. One layer of primer should be applied on this surface.
